Palak Chana with Tikka masala


Savor the spices of India, chana dal and spinach in this healthy vegetarian dish. 
Instant Pot Chana Dal With Spinach cooks quickly, and with so much flavor.

Palak Chana

Chana dal is my favorite of all of the Indian pulses. Pulses include beans, lentils, and peas. "Dal" is a split pulse. Chana dal is a split chick pea. 

2 cups of Chana Dal
5 oz baby spinach finally chopped
1 tablespoon cumin seeds
5 or 6 kri patta
Fresh chopped coriander leaves
2 tablespoons of @bebesallnatural Tikka Masala
1 tablespoon canola oil or ghee.

Add the chana dal, spinach and water.
Lock the pressure cooker lid in place. Set it for 8 minutes on the pressure cooker .Allow the dal and spinach to release pressure for about 8 minutes during which time, the chana dal and spinach will continue to cook. 

In a Pan add oil with Cumin seeds and kri patta add @bebesallnatural Tikka Masala .
Add daal and spinach cook for five minutes.
Serve the chana dal over basmati rice (white or brown) or Parantha , Roti or Naan and sprinkle with chopped cilantro.
